Industrial Diseases
Our specialist team of industrial disease litigators
has a depth of experience in all types of work
place diseases and claims including:
Our team are all members of the Association of
Personal Injury Lawyers (www.apil.com)
The team has successfully established itself at
the forefront of the developing law in industrial
diseases. We are lead claimant firm in the Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire
Deafness Litigation (now at the Court of Appeal)
which has established that some large employers
should have acted to protect workers’ hearing
from noise at 85 decibels before the legislation
came into force in 1990.
We act on behalf of several large groups of claimants
in the Textiles and Tobacco industries, and in
the past several of our team have acted for groups
of successful claimants in Sheffield Steel Foundries
with multiple causes of injury.
We are assisted by the UK’s leading QCs,
barristers and experts, and our team contributes
articles and speakers to various specialist forums
across the Country.
We are committed to providing a full service to
our clients which extends beyond a simple compensation
payout for general damages, and where possible
we are able to assist with claims for additional
items such as digital ‘In the Ear’ hearing
aids, and tinnitus masking devices in Noise Induced
Hearing Loss claims which help to improve a person’s
quality of life. We are also able to assist with
claims for Industrial Injuries Compensation Benefits,
and in establishing Personal Injury Trusts.
We are able to advise and provide all methods
of funding and insurance cover as appropriate after
an assessment of individual demands and needs,
and we offer a free initial assessment.
