Out of work:
Andrew and his wife own a narrowboat and, when possible, they spend as much time aboard as they can. Andrew is also a keen birdwatcher and an avid reader of fiction (particularly science fiction) non-fiction – mainly to do with science and/or history – and, when the mood takes him, poetry. He is also very much a family man, with three children (all now grown up) three grandchildren and two long-haired dachshunds.
