What is the Wake Smith Senior Leaders Peer Group?
 
We are an established, diverse and friendly peer group in Sheffield & South Yorkshire.
 
Ambitious leaders from different sectors and diverse backgrounds connect at Wake Smith Leaders Peer Groups to join with others to gain trusted insights that deliver practical value, support and results for them and their organisations.
 
Wake Smith Leaders share fresh perspectives and common sense with one another, develop professional friendships and support one another so they can navigate and overcome the big issues and take their organisations forwards. We welcome leaders from all sectors including charities and education as well as business. We also welcome leaders from new organisations and those that are established.
 
Providing excellence in personal and organisational development, we have three levels of membership peer groups supporting Senior, Growing, and New Leaders in a safe environment. We are there for you at every stage of your leadership journey. Challenges recently discussed include: how to take advantage of the opportunities and challenges presented by Covid, BLM and cancel culture in the Boardroom, succession planning and handling difficult management conversations.
 
Support between meetings encourages sustainable development, maximises performance and improvement.

When and where
 
The next group is our Senior Leaders Peer Group which is held on the second Wednesday of each month the next one being on 11 August 8am to midday. This will be held in our modern offices on Tenter Street in the centre of Sheffield. We are fully accessible and a short walk from the station, closer still to tram and bus links with complementary NCP parking next door. Zoom attendance is also available.

Our peer groups are Chaired by Joan Pettingill our hugely experienced group facilitator, ILM 7 fully qualified executive coach and trainer.
 
Each group meets for ½ a day (mornings).

• Refreshments and welcome
• Introductions and hot topics
• Catch ups from last month’s session
• Round table facilitated session (one or two sessions depending on the topics)
• Feedback
• Round-up and finish by midday
• Optional 121 with Chair between sessions

All groups are limited to 12-14 people.
