Wake Smith Hands £500 Cheque for Sherpa Aid UK

The Wake Smith Charity Board, with the support and generosity of the firm staff, has raised £500 to help people affected by the recent earthquakes in Nepal. Jagged Globe a Sheffield based company specialized in organising world mountaineering expeditions, has received a cheque for £500 from Wake Smith Solicitors to support people affected by the earthquake in Nepal. Jagged Globe's charity, Sherpa Aid UK, will help the families of Sherpa's with medical fees for those that were injured. The cheque was presented by Louise Rudkin, Wake Smith's Charity Representative and John Baddeley, Director for Wake Smith to Mr Alan Hinkes OBE; he is the first Briton to climb all of the world's 8000m mountains and is part of an exclusive club of only 12 people alive who have achieved this feat - which is the same number of people who have stood on the moon! Sherpa Aid UK Patron, Alan Hinkes, commented: "This fund raising effort & donation from Wake Smith to Sherpa Aid UK is greatly appreciated, especially after the devastating earthquake in Nepal this spring. Many Sherpa's have been left homeless and this will help towards rebuilding their houses and safeguarding their families." John Baddeley, Director for Wake Smith Solicitors, added "We are delighted to support Sherpa Aid UK in this noble task. We know that the funds that Wake Smith raised will be used in the best possible way to directly help people affected by the earthquake in Nepal."
