Fixed Fee Divorce

At Wake Smith Solicitors in Sheffield, our experienced divorce lawyers understand that uncertainty around legal costs can add stress during an already difficult time. That’s why we’ve created a fixed fee divorce package — giving you clarity and peace of mind from the start.

As part of our wider Family and Divorce Law services, our fixed fee option covers all straightforward, uncontested divorces where you are the applicant (previously known as the Petitioner).

Our Fixed Fee Divorce Package

Our fixed fee service for a simple, uncontested divorce is £600 plus VAT.
This fee includes our legal work in managing your divorce from start to finish.

Please note:

  • The fixed fee does not include the court fee (see current fees on GOV.UK).

  • Additional costs may apply for out-of-pocket expenses such as:

    • Obtaining a copy of your marriage certificate

    • Personal service of court papers on your spouse

    • Translation of a foreign marriage certificate by a court-approved translator.

    What’s Not Included

The financial settlement arising from your divorce is treated as separate legal proceedings. Because every family’s financial circumstances are different, we provide bespoke advice on resolving financial matters rather than a fixed fee for this aspect.

Our solicitors will explain your options clearly so you can make informed decisions about property, assets, and future arrangements.
