Commercial Litigation Solicitor

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Solicitor to join our Commercial Litigation team.

Wake Smith is a multi-accredited firm, which has been established in Sheffield for more than 200 years. As one of the leading practices in the region, the firm has built an enviable reputation for forging successful professional relationships and providing exceptional client care.

The successful candidate will handle a broad and varied caseload of contentious matters, working closely with the Directors in the department and other members of the team on a wide range of complex disputes.

• The role offers exposure to high-quality work across general litigation and dispute resolution, providing an excellent opportunity to further develop both technical and strategic skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.
• Applicants should have solid experience and a demonstrable background in commercial litigation.
• A strong understanding of dispute resolution processes.
• Be confident managing matters independently where appropriate, while also contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
• A proactive approach, strong technical ability and exceptional client care skills are essential.
• Our ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with 3–5 years’ PQE; however, we would also welcome applications from candidates with equivalent experience who can demonstrate the relevant skills and expertise.
