The giant banking and financial services organisation, visited the law firm’s HQ and has worked with Wake Smith for more than 100 years since its first foray into banking in South Yorkshire in the late 1800s with the Sheffield Union Bank, which was subsequently acquired by Midland Bank, who themselves were purchased by HSBC.
Tom Wood, HSBC’s Head of UK SME Banking; Julia Britton, HSBC’s Head of Investment and Business Execution; Becca Pearce, HSBC Relationship Manager and Sam Hanley, HSBC Local Commercial Director met Wake Smith management to catch up on business matters.
Together with Wake Smith’s Chairman Neil Salter, Director of Finance Ivor Donn and Director and Head of Clinical Negligence Terry Regan, they discussed Wake Smith, the regional marketplace and HSBC’s regional and national strategy and priorities.
