Wake Smith Solicitors has announced two promotions in its busy residential and commercial property teams, plus the appointment of a new fee earner.

Solicitor Ben Spencer becomes Head of Commercial Property effective from January 1, 2026 while Lisa Molinari has stepped up into the role of Head of Residential Conveyancing Operations.

Ben’s promotion recognises his incredible 24 years of dedicated service to the company, during which he has consistently demonstrated commitment, expertise, and a strong leadership style, and forms part of the firm’s long-term succession plans with Neil Salter stepping back from the role to support a smooth transition and ensure continuity for the team.

Ben initially started as a Trainee Solicitor with Benson Clegg Solicitors who later merged with Wake Smith in 2006. During his time with Wake Smith he has continued to be successfully promoted becoming highly regarded as an expert in his sector.

Since joining the team last year as a director, Lisa, who has nearly 15 years industry experience in conveyancing, has played a key role in supporting the team’s digital transformation which has resulted in the streamlining of operations, growth and enhanced efficiency, and she has an outstanding reputation for exceptional client service.

Wake Smith has also confirmed the appointment of Ellie Stothard as a Solicitor in its Residential Property team from December 1. Ellie brings with her a wealth of conveyancing experience, having qualified in 2023, building strong expertise across a wide range of residential property matters.

This transition marks an exciting new chapter, and we look forward to the continued success and longevity of the team.

“Congratulations to Ben on this significant achievement, and thanks to Neil for his outstanding leadership.

“We are also thrilled Lisa accepted this well-deserved appointment and look forward to the continued growth and success of the conveyancing team under her leadership.
